ABOUT

C.V.

I am a Toronto based multidisciplinary artist, working in digital video, text + print, installation, biomedia and performance.

I chose to become an artist because I romantically believed that I would be given the luxury of a total vision...a vision concerned with the interrelated whole. I don't know how true that notion really is, but I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to make things.

I make things: as a form of resistance, as a form of negotiation, as a form of learning and mostly as a way to articulate the world around me. I often explain my work as a fascination of reclaiming a certain denied subjectivity.

Right now, I am revisiting the ethical implications of reducing life to art. Stay tuned to find out what that becomes, become wary of what that could be!
